Apple introducing new color choice with iPhone 5S

As of this week we have couple of leaked images backing up earlier rumors that there will be a champagne color option for the new iPhone 5S. A series of images has surfaced this week showing the typical array of iPhone buttons like the power and volume buttons in attractive champagne color which hints us that the black and white choice won't be the only ones as of this September. Of course without seeing the whole device it is hard to say how legitimate this is.

We already know that Apple's cheaper iPhone model will come in an array of colors including red, yellow and blue but that is something less standard for the baseline iPhone model which had the same color choice for the last 6 and some years. We've seen some crazy ( good) things coming out of Apple under the directory of Tim Cook that we would not see if Steve was still on the head od this large Sacramento company.

So is there room for a third color option for the baseline iPhone model? Yup. A champagne color might not be so bad but it's still early to say upon just a few tiny part leaks. But by the leaks we had the last few months it's sure that the iPhone 5S is ready for an early fall release. In that case we will find more about this third color and more about the device.

iPhone 5C - iPhone for the masses

The last week or two have been packed with rumors and leaked images regarding the new ''cheap'' iPhone. We have pictures of the phone, cases and boxes.

The iPhone 5C is supposed to be Apple's answer to the selection of cheap Android phones which are causing Apple to lose market share. I have to admit this is a great step for Apple to bring the iPhone to the masses and now finally I might be able to afford one. There are of course a few things that don't hold the water in this story.

First of all - the name. The name is supposed to be the iPhone 5C. The C stands for cheap and it is highly unlikely that Apple is going to call one of their phones cheap. Maybe they will introduce a whole new line of devices so the device will not even have the 5 in the name.

The boxes in which the device is supposed to come in are faked. Like the double crossing Apple logos and the curves around the 5C are not consistent.

Over all we can expect the ''cheap'' to be presented at the september or october timeframe when the iPhone 5S will be launched.

The images which have leaked show a full plastic body which will be coming in multiple colors and a glass front. We don't know if the phone will have a retina display but don't be disappointed if it doesn't becouse of the budget cut. The camera is still an enigma but perhaps it will have a 5 MP sensor again because of the price of the device. The processor will be dual core because of iOS 7 and Siri.

Now am I the only one which thinks that the ''cheaper'' iPhone is better looking than the iPhone 5?
What do you think about all this cheap iPhone business? Let us know in the comments.

LG ditches Optimus - LG G2 is here!

We heard before that LG is going to remove the name Optimus from their top of the line smartphones and now we have the first phone with this new policy. The LG G2 is here and believe me you will be impressed.
The phone was showed to the public in a LG official keynote in New York.

As far as the specifications go there's nothing that might surprise us. The most interesting thing is that it's running a 2.26 Ghz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 ( the latest generation) processor and Adreno 330 GPU. The phone has a 5.2'' IPS LCD screen with FullHD resolution but the interesting thing is that the screen is almost edge-to-edge which means that the phone is still usable with one hand. The phone supports Advanced LTE networks. The back camera on the phone has a 13 MP sensor with OIS ( optical image stabilization) and the front camera has a 2.1 MP sensor. The phone comes equipped with 16 or 32 GB of on board storage and 2 GB of RAM memory. The battery is a more than enough 3000 mAh and the operating system is Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean.

Perhaps the most interesting detail is the button on the back which can be used fro many things, changing the volume or launching the camera. The phone also comes with lots of software tweaks like the guest mode which allows you to give the phone to someone to use it without being afraid for your personal files. Also a nice feature is the ability to wake up the device with double tapping the screen.

We don't have the official release date, pricing or the availability of the device but we'll keep you updated.

Dual SIM isn't enough - GooPhone X1+ supports three SIM cards

After LG released the Optimus L4 II in Brasil the first phone with three SIM card slots, another phone of that kind has arrived from the Chinese company GooPhone. This company is known for creating clones and copies of Samsung and Apples phones. Know they introduced us to a phone clearly looking like a samsung device but the big deal is the three signal bars on the status bar.

The model GooPhone X1+ has a 5'' screen with a resolution of 845x480. It has a dual core MediaTek MT6572 processor which is clocked at 1.2 Ghz , the processor is paired with 1 GB of working memory while the phone has 4 GB of storage memory. Of course the memory can be expanded with up to 32 GB of microSD card storage. The phone also has two cameras the one on the back has a 5 megapixel sensor while the front video chat camera has a 2 mp resolution.

The phone is running a somewhat old version on Android 4.1 Jelly Bean and the battery has 2100mAh of power. The phone is sold with a price of 149.99 $ and it's available in grey and white. While we are at it in china you can buy many no name devices with up to 4 SIM card slots.

HTC planning on releasing the One Max phablet

HTC is continuing to fill it's One line, first with it's HTC One flagship and soon after that the One mini which is essentially the same phone with a smaller screen size. A few weeks ago HTC in association with Google released the One Google Play edition. Looks like now it's time for a change in screen size now for the bigger - the phablet One Max.

The 5,9 inch device is likely to hit the market very soon but the official reveal of the device is suspected to take place at the IFA fair in Berlin. This phone is made to follow the phablet trend and should be a direct competition to Samsung's Galaxy Note line and Sony Xperia's Z Ultra.

Like the rest of the upcoming phablets, HTC One Max should be running the strongest Qualcomm solution the Snapdragon 800 procesor and it should be paired with 2 GB of RAM. The phone will have 16 GB of storage capacity and a ( now standard HTC) high quality IPS LCD display with FullHD resolution. HTC Ultrapixel camera is a must but it's unknown if the sensor is going to get some megapixel upgrade. The phone should be running the latest version of Android Jelly Bean 4.3

Youtube live streaming - anyone can do it

You could stream live video on Youtube only if you had 1000 subscribers on this popular Google video service. Now the folks and Google and Youtube have decided to lower this bar and give the opportunity to stream live video to everyone who has 100 or more subs.

During last week Youtube has shown more new features to users who use this popular website. The first one of course is the one regarding live video streaming.

The second one is going to make life a lot easier to a lot of content creators and filmmakers. Now you can choose or upload your own video thumbnail as before the system did that for you.

These are just two of the most interesting new features of you use Youtube to promote your content, the rest you can read on the official blog of the company.

Samsung planing on releasing Galaxy Folder?

We don't know if this is true or not but there are images showing a new Samsung Galaxy phone with a folding form factor. We have to admit we haven't seen one of those in a while. The phone will be having a traditional look but with never hardware and software (android, or maybe tizen?). All in all, this phone looks like and interesting piece.

If we can trust the leaked images, the phone is going to feature two displays. One is going to be on the inside and one on the outside. When you open the device you are going to be greeted with a classic numeric keyboard which most smartphone users have forgotten about. Another cool feature could be the dual sim option. Hardware is going to be standard Samsung, dualcore Snapdragon procesor and 2 GB of RAM.

Over night Windows 8 gets over 750,000 apps

In the summer of 2011 the company BlueStacks had announced that Windows users are going to be able to run and manage Android apps on their computers. It's been a while now, but today almost a million Android apps are available on the Windows 8 platform.

The company had gotten 8 million dolars of investment, so they could not long after that release an alfa version of their ''player''. The first beta of the so called App Player was available almost a year ago. And finaly today we have a full fledged Windows 8 version. The BlueStacks team said that they are very aware of the app situation on the Windows store so they are about to promote it to a tottaly differetn level:

Note that the Windows 8 app ecosystem is very small due to the 35,000 apps that are available on the Windows store. Some are apps, manuals, games...
This BlueStacks App Player is originaly built for the Surface Pro but it will also run on any other Windows 8 Pro computer. (I had a problem with the installation saying that my graphic card isn't supported right now, hopefully it will be fixed in the future).
For starters it's enough to go to their website and download the so called App Player not only for your Windows 8 Pc, but also your PC running Windows XP, Vista and 7, and a Mac version is also available.
Its  great to finally have Instagram running on windows, isn't it?
