Some of you may already have started college depending on where in the world you are. Entering the smartphone era where everyone has a smartphone (we're not trying to get a fanboy fight started) wheter it's a iPhone, Android or something else it can be a great tool to help you survive college. Here we bring you Top 10 Apps that might just make your college life a bit more easier. Whether you're a first year or a senior these Apps will helo you connect, organise and planner more efficiently.

     1. A great transit App might just stop you from getting lost (all the time).

There isn't anything worst than moving to a new city on your own. A great companion in a uknown city is the Moovit app. This app counts on the user to update the app. Giving you live information on when the buses, trams or trains are leaving and depending on the traffic and the queue it tells you the time of arrival. It allso gives you guided step-by-step navigation. You can access public transit maps of your city and also add personalized alerst and favourites. The app is also easy on the eyes with a modern and flat UI.

     2. Note to self: need to ace my next exam.

Yes, your next app choice is a note taking application. One that will store your notes so you can access them everywhere. One that will let you insert pictures, drawings, video, audio and more. Your only choice in this department should be the Evernote app. It is available on almost every platform including the web so you don't need to worry about accessing your precious notes. Fortunately for the broke college student the app is free. You can go Premium which is 5$ monthly or 45$ a year.

     3. SelfControl is the key.
It's finals week. You have a huge essay to finish ... but then there's Reddit, emitting its bewitching siren call. Every. Damn. Time. SelfControl lets you set a period of time to block certain websites or mail servers by adding them to a "blacklist." It's too bad if you finish your work early — restarting your computer or deleting the application won't negate the timer. Available for free for Mac OS X.
     4. A great study companion (is my phone)
Avoid interrupting class and getting on your professor's bad side with Studious. Once you input your class schedule, Studious will silence your phone during those hours. Available for free for Android. Upgrade to Studious+ for $1.99 to bypass the ads.
     5. Say hello to your friends and family at home.
Hi mom! There isn't anything better than saying hello to someone at home you haven't seen for a long time (except maybe a beer or two after acing a exam). You probably already know about Skype but we just had to include it on this list. Seeing your parents reaction when you say that you passed (or flunked) your test is priceless.
     6. Connect professional and personal
LinkedIn and all its nifty mobile features makes connections a breeze — for better or worse, college is a time of both personal and professional connections.
Available on the web, of course, but also for free for iOS and Android devices.
     7. Don't be the only person in class who isn't up-to-date with world events.
Use Twitter to keep yourself in the loop in both the academic and social aspects of your life. In today's contemporary classrooms, you may even be asked to participate in class discussions via Twitter. But lets be honest you probably already have a Twitter account.
Available for free for iOS and Android devices.
     8. Not everyone is a major in economics.
Club fees. Books. Tuition. Food. College adds up — quickly. Mint is a web and mobile app that helps you keep track of your spending. Plus, it's never too early to start cultivating good credit. You can also check out the Toshl app which is a great alternative.
     9. Typing ain't for everyone
Ever wish you could type faster? Dragon Dictation uses accurate voice recognition software to let you speak and instantly see your words in text. Dictate statuses to your social networks or pretend you're talking to someone if you're trying to write a speech — even send statuses straight to your social networks. Try this if you're in a time crunch and really need to churn out an essay; or, if you're just someone who prefers speaking over writing.
Available for free for iOS.
     10. Cloud storage is cool right now
Emailing your files to yourself is so 2010. Try using Dropbox so you can store your files on the internet and access them from anywhere anytime. It's also really easy to share those files with you class mates. One drive from microsoft is a great alternative.
We hope these apps are going to help you improve you test scores this semester. But remember: no app is going to make you superman, get behind that book and be ready to Ace your test.

Are These The First iPhone 6 Spyshots or Just a Horrible joke?

It's insane how fast the iPhone 6 rumors, concepts and leaks are comming in. The newest leaked shots show an iPhone similar to the concept we wrote about earlier this week. But this images make this morning a little overall a little sweeter.

A set of images of an alleged iPhone 6 hit twitter last afternoon, originating from an obscure account but have since then been picked up by Sonny Dickson, the infamous leaker who revealed the iPhone 5 as well as a number of other Apple products.

The images show a Gold and Space Grey iPhone models, both rocking an edge-to-edge display and a thinner profile. The rear casing is all metal reminding a lot of iPad Air and iPad mini design giving us an idea that Apple might ditch the glass on the back that was famous since the iPhone 4. This also suggests that Apple might finally implement LiquidMetal technology fo the antenna system.

We still can't confirm that these images are genuine, but they give you a pretty good idea how big and beautiful a bigger screen iPhone will be.

Take a look:

An Amazing iPhone 6 Concept Video Leaves us Speechless

We still have to wait a few good months before Apple unveils their newest iPhone but till then there are a few (pretty) good smartphone renders and concept art to feast our eyes on. We stumbled on one that left us completely stunned. The video is showing a new and fresh iPhone 6 courtesy of ConceptsiPhone which takes a more conservative approach to imagining a new device.

Yet, all of the latest rumors for the iPhone 6 are implemented into the concept. A larger screen of 5.1-inches, by almost completely removing the side bezels the iPhone doesn't get much on its size. The concept also shows off a new and improved 10-megapixel rear camera which can shot 4K resolution video, and also a new ''Retina Two'' screen, solar charging screen, stereo speakers and a Lightning 2 port.

The design of the phone in the concept stays classic Apple, but the phone rocks a much thinner profile than the latest iPhone 5S. Also this concept isn't far fetched and stays most consistant to everything Apple has done. It's the only concept that keeps the fingerscanning home button that was first introduced in the iPhone 5S.

As we said there are still a few good moths to go untill Apple officialy unveils their new iPhone model. Till then stay tuned to our blog for latest news, rumors and concepts.

iPhone 6 rumors hit the table. Two iPhones again?

iPhone 5S white vs. iPhone 5 black/slate

This rumor has been circling around quite a bit the last few weeks. Maybe you've heard it that Apple is considering a larger screen size for it's next generation of iPhone/iPhones. No wonder because the mobile market has been heading light speed at that direction so we even have 6.3 inch devices now. Apple is still ''stuck'' at 4 inches which makes some users unhappy. So next logical step would be to increase the screen size of the iPhone line-up. That might be necessarily true but with the Wall Street Journal weighing in on it today, the notion is gaining a bit more credibility

But the rumors don't stop there. This rumor has been hanging in the air for a long time, but now it's gaining more and more traction. Sources say that Apple is preparing not one but TWO iPhone models that will have different screen sizes. One is reported to have a 4.5-inch and the other 5-inch screens.

Maxis iPhone 5 LaunchBut wait, the rumors get even juicier here. The previous rumors are connected to the next which talk about a possibility of Apple completely abandoning the polycarbonate casing seen in the iPhone 5c in favor of the tried-and-true metallic body approach of its latest generation.

All this could change and as for Apples current strategy that only the small sized iPhones are for mass production your dreams of a phablet-y Apple smartphone will be put on hold for a while.

Some reports also say that Apple is scheduled to release its next flagship in the summer period as it's been the case with the first four iPhone models. But we wouldn't hold our breaths on that one. So september is still far and there will be a lot of rumors and leaks on the next iPhone model/s so stay tunes to our site and subscribe.

Apple introducing new color choice with iPhone 5S

As of this week we have couple of leaked images backing up earlier rumors that there will be a champagne color option for the new iPhone 5S. A series of images has surfaced this week showing the typical array of iPhone buttons like the power and volume buttons in attractive champagne color which hints us that the black and white choice won't be the only ones as of this September. Of course without seeing the whole device it is hard to say how legitimate this is.

We already know that Apple's cheaper iPhone model will come in an array of colors including red, yellow and blue but that is something less standard for the baseline iPhone model which had the same color choice for the last 6 and some years. We've seen some crazy ( good) things coming out of Apple under the directory of Tim Cook that we would not see if Steve was still on the head od this large Sacramento company.

So is there room for a third color option for the baseline iPhone model? Yup. A champagne color might not be so bad but it's still early to say upon just a few tiny part leaks. But by the leaks we had the last few months it's sure that the iPhone 5S is ready for an early fall release. In that case we will find more about this third color and more about the device.

iPhone 5C - iPhone for the masses

The last week or two have been packed with rumors and leaked images regarding the new ''cheap'' iPhone. We have pictures of the phone, cases and boxes.

The iPhone 5C is supposed to be Apple's answer to the selection of cheap Android phones which are causing Apple to lose market share. I have to admit this is a great step for Apple to bring the iPhone to the masses and now finally I might be able to afford one. There are of course a few things that don't hold the water in this story.

First of all - the name. The name is supposed to be the iPhone 5C. The C stands for cheap and it is highly unlikely that Apple is going to call one of their phones cheap. Maybe they will introduce a whole new line of devices so the device will not even have the 5 in the name.

The boxes in which the device is supposed to come in are faked. Like the double crossing Apple logos and the curves around the 5C are not consistent.

Over all we can expect the ''cheap'' to be presented at the september or october timeframe when the iPhone 5S will be launched.

The images which have leaked show a full plastic body which will be coming in multiple colors and a glass front. We don't know if the phone will have a retina display but don't be disappointed if it doesn't becouse of the budget cut. The camera is still an enigma but perhaps it will have a 5 MP sensor again because of the price of the device. The processor will be dual core because of iOS 7 and Siri.

Now am I the only one which thinks that the ''cheaper'' iPhone is better looking than the iPhone 5?
What do you think about all this cheap iPhone business? Let us know in the comments.

New earphones to ship with the new iPhone?

Apple has a lot of great hardware offerings, built and designed with attention and care. In comparison, its ill-fitting, flimsy, and awful-sounding earbuds currently being packed alongside the iPhone 4S are a bit of a nightmare. And while you’re probably sick of hearing about the iPhone 5, we think you’ll be happy to hear Apple might, possibly, probably not, but maybe have a new set of earbuds to accompany its latest iOS device.
Vietnamese site, Tinhte.vn recently posted a video claiming to feature the redesigned headphones in all their glory. Tinhte even compares the alleged new version to the old in case you don’t have your own pair lying around. After taking a listen to the new buds, Tinhte said the sound quality is superior to Apple’s previous offering with more powerful bass, though the overall volume has been reduced. Apparently they are much more comfortable to wear for longer periods of time.
It’s impossible to tell if these are the real thing, but Apple’s unibody signature seems to be present. Plus, there’s the following phrase printed on the cord: “Designed by Apple in California Assembled in Vietnam”. Tinhte claims the buds feel like a cohesive unity with no parts in danger of detaching or falling apart. They’ve also been made more compact, with oval tips replacing the large, round tips that barely funnel sound into your ear. The earphones are cut at an angle so they can slide more easily into the canal and focus their sound. Fabricated wire and other quality finishing materials certainly have Tinhte convinced they’re the real deal. Tinhte also has a proven track record of gaining access to pre-release and prototype Apple devices.
Old iPhone earbuds compared to new earbudsBut despite the large number of evidence pointing to the contrary, these rumored earbud replacements could easily be the work of a clever imitator. A lack of in-line microphone and volume control is probably the most compelling evidence against their authenticity, but there’s no way to tell whether the mic has been embedded into the buds somehow. Also, removing a feature that’s been such an integral and useful part of Apple’s original earbuds is like taking a step backward, which doesn’t ring true for Apple.
If they do end up being more than wishful thinking, Apple will finally resolve a glaring flaw in its otherwise well-built products. But as with most rumors, be prepared for all of this to be a distant memory once the truth emerges. It won’t be a long wait at least, with the iPhone 5 announcementrumored to be less than two weeks away.

Rumor Fridays - iPad Mini

We’re all thinking about the 12th of September the ‘’big’’ Apple event where we all thing we will see a new iPhone, but a rumor has been circling  around for a month or more now talking about not only a new iPhone but a new iPad. The rumored device is a smaller 7 inch iPad mini or ''nano'' if you like.

This device as said has been rumored for quite some time now, sources saying about a smaller, cheaper iPad which would be a competition to the Kindle Fire (the Fire 2 is expected to come out some time in September also) and Google Nexus 7. This device was less likely to hit the market when Steve Jobs was still alive as a big hater of screens smaller than 9.7 inches saying that smaller screened tablets were not "sufficient to create great tablet apps" and would be "dead on arrival" but in the biography about Steve Jobs there was a line saying that Steve said yes to this 7 inch smaller iPad idea just before he died so this might contribute to the rumors.

This device would have a 7 inch screen, running iOS 6 (it would be interesting to see what iOS would look like on this size screen), maybe a back iSight camera and a front facing VGA camera (?),the new rumored 9 pin connector, dual-core A5x chip well we think it will have the specifications of the 3rd gen iPad but would that make for a cheaper tablet?

Well now all that remains is to wait for a week or two to see if we are going to see a iPad mini or not and if we see it what the specifications and price are going to be.

The new iPhone set to launch on the 21st?

Judging by the events inside AT&T, iPhone could hit the US market on the 21st of September. Namely, AT&T has reportedly prohibited vacations for all of its employees from the 21st to the 30th which means something big is happening in this timeframe. The launch of a new version of iPhone is as important in the USA as in the rest of the world.

Unofficial and confidential sources have transferred this rumor but the spokesman of AT&T negated all of it. This cannot affect all of the Apple ‘’fanboys’’ to expect the launch to be on the 21st. Apple has set an event to take place on the 12th and it is expected to be the event where the new iPhone (or iPhone 5/6) is going to be released, also a big rumor this past few weeks is a rumored iPad mini which is also expected to be presented on this event. The iPad mini is a 7 inch version of the current iPad. Steve Jobs gave the green light for the device just before he died otherwise a big hater of screens smaller than 9.7 inches.

Like always just before the official Apple event rumors are flowing like crazy and nothing yet is completely known for sure. The only think we know is that Apple is going to show us something on the 12th but we don’t know what for sure. However the clue is enough for the excitement.

The new iPhone. Worth the hipe?

Everybody is jumping around Apple now because of the soon to be released iPhone 5 or whatever they are going to call it (if you don’t know Apple is going to release the new iPhone on 12th September which is 2 weeks from now), but let me just ask you is it really worthy of the hipe? If it’s to judge by the pics and leaks online I don’t think so!

Here’s a picture of the ‘’supposed’’ iPhone 5 which was leaked a few weeks ago. So if you look at the picture the new iPhone shares the same design principles as the iPhone 4/4S but the back is now brushed aluminum and glass. Also it has a longer profile and a 16:9 aspect ratio 4 inch screen. We don’t know much about the camera but we suppose it’s going to be about 10 MP, dual-core 1.5 GHz or maybe even quad-core we don’t know. And that’s it, it will run iOS 6 which doesn’t have the new features we want. If Apple doesn’t have ‘’one more thing’’ with this device it won’t be worth the upgrade.

iOS 6 doesn’t have that many new user features, the only major thing in this is the Passbook app, the user-interface stays the same since 2007 and the original iPhone, we would for one like to see some widgets integrated maybe in the notification center or see some ‘’live’’ backgrounds. iOS 6 was introduced on WWDC 2012 and all of the features that were seen there are not so great. If Apple doesn’t show more great features with the launch of the new iPhone it’s doomed to fall (well not really, Apple is now the most valuable company in the world).

iPhone 4S had the Apple’s ‘’one more thing’’ and that was Siri, your personal assistant integrated into your iPhone. It was respected and jumped around at first but now it just got boring. So what might we see on the new iPhone remains a mystery. But whatever Apple does with this phone we know that it’s going to become one of the most popular phone at least 2 quarters from release.
